Effect

Bent Over Cable Lateral Raise exercise stimulates rear deltoids primarily. Side delts and traps also get some stimulus. This exercise provides a constant tension opposed to Bent Over Lateral Raise.

Movement

Stand with your left side near the lower cable, grab the handle with your right arm. Position yourself where you can feel the tension in this starting position. Bend over, your upper body should be almost parallel to the floor. Raise the weight slowly with your arm, and squeeze your resting elbow to your side. Switch hands and repeat the movement.

Tip

Do not pull your shoulders back during the exercise, this would put the tension to your trapezius.
