Oats are a valuable biological composition of the cereals. On average it contains 17 grams of easily digestible protein. Seven types of essential amino acids - which the body can't reproduce, so they are indispensable - can be found in the oat protein. The fat content could be up to 7% as well, in which the most important unsaturated fatty acids can be 70-80%. It's carbohydrate content is the lowest compared to other cereals, which would be 50-60%. It also has significant dietary fiber, minerals (Ca, Mg, Fe) content and also is the source of vitamins (E, B1). Foods made of oat doesn't cause any digestive problems, so daily use of oatmeal is recommended.
Using in some form or other it successfully decreases cholesterol in blood serum. Oatmeal has been recommended for a long time by doctors for patients suffering in diabetes.
