L-leucine is one of the essential amino acids and also belongs to the BCAA group. Cutting-edge scientific results prove that leucine is one of the most important aminos, because it actually directly stimulates skeletal muscle protein synthesis, the leucine level in the body signals an anabolic state. Leucine promotes recovery and protects muscle tissue from breakdown (anti-catabolic effect). Isolated leucine has been found useful even when the overall dietary protein intake is high, and even when you add it to fast digesting protein shakes. Leucine can also be used by muscles for energy when engaging in high intensity activity.
Take 1-4 servings a day, before and after training, and between meals.
