Lutein is concentrated in the macula – a small area of the retina responsible for three-colour vision. The human body can't produce lutein, so we have to bring it into our bodies with nutrition.
They are essential for good vision. Together they form the macular pigment, protecting the retina from blue light damage and oxidative stress. If you can't eat leafy vegetables and foods (cabbage, spinach, broccoli, zucchini, corn) at least two times a week, then you should take supplements containing lutein. Zeaxanthin is naturally found in corn.
Vitaking's Lutein and zeaxanthin product contains 20 mg of Lutein and 1 mg of Zeaxanthin per capsule.
